I've been wanting to write this review for almost 3 months because this experience stuck with me. I visited this Crimson Cup location in Columbus on April 7, 2026. It was my niece's birthday, and only about two and a half weeks after my sister's funeral, so I was already going through a difficult time emotionally. I was simply looking forward to getting a coffee from a place I've always enjoyed visiting. I'm not from Columbus, and the Crimson Cup in my hometown isn't attached to a hotel, so I had no idea how this location was set up. I couldn't find the drive-thru, so I drove up to the window and politely asked the employee if this was where I ordered. She seemed completely fine with it at first, took my order, and gave me my total. That's when everything changed. She informed me that the drive-thru was actually around the back of the building. That wasn't the issue. The issue was the tone and attitude she used when saying it. I was caught off guard. I explained that I wasn't from the area and didn't know where the drive-thru was, but I still felt like I was being talked down to for making an honest mistake. BEST FROZEN COFFEE IN THE WORLD!! In my world, that is.. So.. By world, I actually mean city, and probably the state. Yes, I can personally guarantee it’s the best in Ohio, and absolutely, hands down, best in the city!! Anywho. You get the point. Go get yourself a CRIMSON CUP FREEZE! It’ll change your life! I’m talking love at first sight. Once you try, you’ll see these calories are justified. And, other frozen coffees will only leave you unsatisfied. Beware: Likely to awaken the coffee monster buried deep inside. Crack like seeking tendencies are very real possibilities. Don’t let the weird hotel lobby set-up get you down, this is a real Crimson Cup Coffee Shop! Much like the original location, off High St., in Clintonville (who also has an unusual set-up in a former bank). Now, the only Crimson Cup location that does not get my stamp of approval is the Easton location, and that is because they are too trendy, and too cool, to serve their frozen coffee drinks. I don’t recommend visiting them. That’s just weak. However, this Olentangy location, it’s solid. I give it my official stamp of approval!

My coffee was free this morning so you would think that I would’ve left five stars, but I left one because the service was so horrible that the barista forgot to ask for payment just like she never greeted me. I felt rushed when I placed my order and rush through the transaction. I waited to ask for a receipt and realized she never asked for payment. I left with my coffee. I will not return to this location. Sucks because this is the most convenient location for me.

Went through the drive thru and the latte was so good I had to go back the next day! The murals are so cute and the baristas are nice. I love the plant-based sausage breakfast sandwich, it’s very similar to the Starbs one if you want to switch to a local place! :)

We stayed at the motel here and we had to try the coffee shop I’m not a huge coffee person so I tried the frozen hot chocolate and I LOVED it! We also got a free complimentary breakfast that was so good and before heading back home I had to have another frozen hot chocolate! Everyone was so nice there too!
